NEW YORK — A suitcase of mail that was meant to be delivered to the office of a cartoonist who made it into the world has been left on the curb in New York City.
The mailbox was left on a Manhattan street on Thursday night after a New York Post employee who was there to check on the mailbox noticed it had been left there.
“This is just weird.
I thought we were going to be able to get it home,” a man who declined to give his name told the Post.
He said he was leaving for work when he noticed the mailbox had been moved to a different street.
“It’s not just us.
It’s the city, it’s everybody,” he said.
The man said he called his supervisor, who confirmed the mailbox was still in the same street.
“It’s pretty ridiculous, it really is,” said a man named Michael who declined further comment.
Weird,” another woman, who declined an on-camera interview, said.
“I don’t know how that was done.”
