An autopsy report shows a large suitcase that investigators believe was used as a murder weapon was found inside a residence in the Los Angeles suburb of Sherman Oaks on Saturday, the Los Feliz Times reported.
The report also indicated the suitcase was stuffed with cash.
Sherman Oaks Police Chief Scott Kubra told ABC affiliate KABC that investigators found the suitcase in a garage in the neighborhood and that investigators were awaiting evidence.
A man living nearby told the KABC affiliate that he saw a man pull a suitcase from the garage and place it in the garage.
Investigators are still trying to determine who the man was and if he knew what the suitcase contained, Kubra said.
Kubra said the coroner has ruled out homicide and the case is now closed.
Investigators say the body was discovered Saturday morning after a woman reported finding a suitcase in her yard.
Sherwood, a city of about 30,000 about 90 miles (145 kilometers) west of Los Angeles, is about 60 miles (100 kilometers) east of downtown Los Angeles.
