The latest: Police say the suitcase that was used in the shooting spree in Florida was stolen from a mall

An SUV was used to fire off two bullets into a crowd of people at a Florida mall Saturday, police said.

Authorities found a handgun and ammunition in the vehicle, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

“The suspect in this incident is an adult male who is described as 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes,” Orlando police spokeswoman Monica Carter said.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Michael Mims, of Orlando.

“He is currently being sought by the Orlando Police Department on charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and attempted murder,” Carter said in a statement.

“We are asking the public to keep the community informed and call the Orlando Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 407-846-TIPS.”

The attack at the Macy’s department store left two people dead and five others injured.

Police said they found a loaded firearm inside the SUV and recovered three shell casings, one ballistic vest and a rifle at the scene.

The suspects vehicle, a white SUV with tinted windows, was found at the Walmart parking lot, where a suspect and a female passenger were killed, Carter said, adding that the suspect was a convicted felon.

The Orlando Sentinel quoted witnesses as saying they saw the suspect and the female passenger in the SUV, before they sped off.

“There were people everywhere.

They were all just walking around, and one of the females said, ‘What are you doing?’

They’re just walking away,” one witness told the newspaper.

The mall has been closed since the shooting.
