A man has died after a suitcase he was carrying rolled down a steep hillside, crushing him to death, police said.
The man, identified as 31-year-old Jhosua Manaso, was found in a tree in the middle of a wooded area near a small village in northern São Paulo state, according to the police department in the state capital, Manaus.
Manaso’s body was discovered on Wednesday morning after he and another man were attempting to lift a suitcase and fall off the hillside to a nearby field, said police spokesman Joao Carlos Gomes.
Gomes said the man was the last person seen alive after the man and another person tried to carry out a suitcase roll down the steep hill, where they fell.
The man’s body is not expected to be recovered.
